Here’s the design we created for the system.Two 2,000 gallon tanks are ganged together.The system sits in an out-of-the-way location behind the garage.A steel roof is best for rainwater collection. The solar panels power the pump (and the house).The “leaf eater” screens out debris.External plumbing is protected from freeze damage with a heating cable and insulation. The post protects against physical damage to the valve.A portable pump pressurizes the water for delivery to the garden.
